Classes are held 1 hour per week for 6 weeks. Classes fill quickly.

Current students: Before registering for the next level, please discuss your plan with your instructor. Obtain his or her advice about whether to repeat the class or move on to the next level. Dogs learn at different paces and have different attention spans and energy levels. It is not unusual to repeat a class (sometimes more than once).

Your completed registration must include

  1. Signed registration form
  2. Proof of current rabies vaccination
  3. Registration fee, payable to NDTC

You may print the registration form and hand write your information or type on the form while it is in your browser, then print. You may save the typed pdf file to your computer for future use.

Submit Your Online Registration Form

The online registration form is found here.

If you have questions, please contact the registrar.

Six-week classes are $110. Members with at least 10 volunteer hours in the previous 12 months get a 50% discount when registering early. Ask about our discount for shelter adoptees.

Drop-in classes are $10 per class, payable the night of the class.

Inclement Weather Policy

In the event of dangerous or threatening weather conditions, please check our Facebook page before leaving for class.

We can be found on Facebook here: Nashville Dog Training Club
A decision about class will be posted ASAP during each class day. We will NO longer follow Metro School System's closing schedule.

  • Please be sure to obtain your instructor's phone and email in case you need to reach them for weather or other class issues.
  • Please check the face book page for class updates prior to contacting your instructor.

If you cannot reach your instructor try the training director or registrar as a last resort. Most of our instructors and director are volunteers and work full time jobs. Therefore it may not be possible to return messages immediately.

If classes are canceled, we will make every effort to reschedule a missed class.

Thank you! Let's start training.

Weather Policy Change
Unless otherwise advised, NDTC will follow the lead of Metropolitan Nashville/Davidson County school closings due to inclement weather. When Metro schools are closed due to weather, NDTC classes will also be cancelled.
